Just For You X 2

HPIM1159 HPIM1162

I just adore these stamps (Inky Antics).  After stamping with a black permanent ink, I used India ink, I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits.  I am so stuck on this technique at the moment.  I really should step outside my comfort zone and do something else. LOL.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a super day filled with laughter and sunshine.

Hello!

scan0035

This is my first attempt at using Flower Soft.  This stuff is so cool and I really like the look.  I stamped the flowers (Stampin Up) first using watercolor markers.  The “Hello” is from Hero Arts and the scalloped ovals are Nestabilities.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Peel-Offs as a Mask

scan0030

For this card I used the Magenta Peel-Offs as a mask.  The image is panted with US Artquest mica water color paints.  Once dry the Peel-Offs were removed.  Kind of a neat look I think and I can reuse the Peel-Off!  Recycling is good!!!!

The Neighbourhood

scan0011

I’m not sure who makes this stamp as I borrowed it from a friend to stamp a few images.  I sure do love this stamp though.  The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Twinkling H2Os.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful day.

3 Vases

Bladerubber

Recently I entered a card contest sponsored by BladeRubberStamps (Link is at the right).  I was so surprised and of course delighted to hear that I had won 3rd prize!

The stamp I chose is by Magenta.  I stamped the image twice on watercolor paper and embossed with detail gold embossing powder.  I painted the image with Twinkling H2Os and added a light watercolor wash to the background using Tombow markers.  The vases were cut from the second stamped image and adhered to the main image with foam tape to add a little dimension.

Many thanks to all who voted for my entry and a huge thank you to BladeRubberStamps for choosing my card.

Pears

scan0013

For this card, I started by making an ink pad using a folded up paper towel moistened with masking fluid.  I then “inked” up the pear stamp (Magenta), several times, and stamped across the bottom of a piece of glossy cardstock.  Once the masking fluid was dry, I added some alcohol inks to make the background.  The sentiment (Inkadinkadoo) was then stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with detailed gold embossing powder. Finally, I rubbed off the masking fluid and colored in the pears using alcohol inks mixed with a little blending solution.

I really like the look of this.  What do you think?

Just A Note

scan0012

It’s been ages since I played with my See D’s stamps and they really are a lot of  fun.  You just never know how things are going to turn out.

I used watercolor markers directly on the rubber and then “huffed” on the stamp to moisten the ink before stamping on to white matte cardstock.  The colors were then blended a little using a damp paintbrush.

Thanks for taking a peek and I wish you a wonderful day!
