My Stamping Space

I've had a few people ask about where I "create" and since I spent a good part of the day organizing and cleaning up my room I thought I'd share a few pictures.

This is about as clean as it ever gets. I've actually got a decent size area to work.
The shelves above my workspace have flourescent tube lighting, which I absolutely love.

Here's where I store most of my inkpads, markers, embossing powders, paints, etc. The white cart I found at Costco and it is great as it stores 12 X 12 papers.

I really like these shelves. I found them at a store called "Fly". They were very reasonably priced and hold quite a few stamps. It's nice to have my stamps where I can see them. I always look for something on the "wall" before going to my unmounted stamps which are stored elsewhere. (You'll see those later).

Here we have more stamps. The small 3 drawer unit on my desktop holds inks that I use regularly. (Distress inks in one drawer and Adirondack pads in the other). The bottom drawer holds my acrylic blocks.

This worktable I use for throwing stuff on. You know, the stuff for mailing. I've got my TV and a DVD player here too. And yes, that is a curling iron on the table. It's great for "ironing" my ribbon.
Underneath there is a shelving unit that fits perfectly. I've got plastic containers that hold DVD cases of unmounted stamps. They are all filed numerically, with a stamped index. I have a binder that is categorized and the images are stamped into the catalog and I've then written "where to find them" i.e. DVD case or CD case #. I've also got my sewing machine, Wizard, wallpaper books and some rolls of paper stored here.

When we tore out our basement bathroom, I quickly "claimed" the cupboards. I added a new counter top and this is where I store my 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock. The black box has hanging file folders to hold my smaller pieces of cardstock. The other hanging file folder "thingie" holds my digital collage sheets.
The cupboards below are FULL of stamping magazines. (I'm a magazine junkie). The drawers to the right have extra tape, bottle caps, small light box and a bunch of other "junk".

These overhead cupboards hold lots more paper. Mostly 12 X 12 printed sheets. There's also some magazines, glossy cardstock, pads of watercolor paper, and other misc. "things" I NEED. LOL.

I was running out of storage space and recently bought this nice pantry. I've left the top left shelf to use for taking digi pics of my cards.

I've got CD cases of unmounted rubber stamps, ribbons, eyelets and other embellishments, paints and other supplies like acrylic paints, gesso, Future floor polish, shaving cream, cans of sealers, and other misc. stuff in here.
Just to the left of the pantry is a closet. I'm not showing that picture though as it is really, really messy. It holds all the swap cards I've received over the years, some stickers, a toaster oven, my Dremel, stuff for metal art, parchment craft, paper embroidery supplies and again a bunch of other stuff I absolutely have to HAVE. LOL.

In these drawers there are stamps and envelopes, tags, some small tools. Kind of a mish mash of stuff. One day I'll get to organizing this mess.

So, now you've seen it! To think I started out with a couple of stamps, a box of crayons, a couple of inkpads. Geesh!

Thanks for stopping by.....Happy Stamping!
Dianne

Wow, this is amazing! I love the little shadow type box shelves that you have above your workspace to hold loose stamps. I think I might have to scoop that idea for some of my favorite stamps!

Great job organizing everything, looks like you have a wonderful assortment of stuff and are a true addict like the rest of us! lol :)

Thanks for sharing! :)

Great room! Lots of great storage! I must use the curling iron idea, I certainly don't use it for curling my hair! What a great idea to use the old cupboards from your bathroom!

Wow, what awesome eye candy! Love your stamp displays! I know, it sure doesn't take long to accumulate a collection! My craft room is also blue (my fav colour), but not nearly as neat as yours, so I can't show mine yet!
