I'm heading out to the country to spend Christmas with some dear friends. When I return, my sister is coming out from Vancouver. I miss her SO much and I can't wait to see her!

November
(22)
I believe this snowman stamp is from Stampin' Up. I colored the image with watercolor pencils and used the Snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. Stickles were added to the snowflake punchies.
This was a sketch I found while blogging. Sorry I can't remember where or who posted it, but I love the design! Thanks to whoever posted this one!
A dear friend of mine let me stamp out some images using Karen Stolper's line of stamps from American Art Stamp Co. These stamps are so much fun and I have enough cards made up to share a card a day with you for at least a week. I hope you don't get bored with the colors as they are pretty much all the same. LOL.
The images are stamped with black Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. Next, I built up layers of ink by using a sponge. Finally, I colored the images in with Twinkling H2Os and added some Peel-Off stickers or punched snowflakes for some added bling.
Also, I made myself a light studio to photograph my cards and really they don't come out too shabby! LOL. The price was certainly right; it cost me about $5. in fabric and everything else (roll of heavy vellum, cardboard box, velcro and Ott Lite I already had kicking around this ole house).
So, here's the first card I made. Actually, this photo isn't exactly the best one, and I probably should have used a white background rather than the blue, but heck bear with me, I'm still learning.
Thanks for stopping by!
I really love the stamps from MFT and I thought I'd do something a little different with this set. I wonder if da dog minds being dressed up like a reindeer????
Stamps: MFT, Paper Salon, SU
Until next time, holiday hugs and thanks for stopping by.

I thought I'd take a bit of a break from Christmas cards, so I made this card for a special friend who will soon be celebrating a birthday.
The stamps and peel-offs are from Magenta and the flowers of been colored with watercolor pencils and Mica paints.
Have a super day and thanks for stopping by.

For November we were to create an ATC that could be hung on a tree. The stamp from Tim Holtz is stamped with black StazOn ink on to an alcohol ink background. I really love the colors of this. What do you think?

This is part of the Magenta Jesters stamp that I used for a card on a previous posting. I like the look of this guy all by himself. LOL. The image is colored with alcohol markers.
This stamp is a real beauty. There's so much detail and it was a lot of fun to color. For this one I sponged Distress inks for the background and then did the coloring with Prismacolor pencils.
The background for this card is done with Distress Inks. The image (Tim Holtz) is stamped with Brilliance Lightning Black ink and it really shimmers beautifully. Definitely a quick card to make and Tim has made cardmaking so easy! LOL.

This is another Magenta stamp. Can you tell that Magenta is one of my favorite stamp companies? The image is colored with alcohol markers.
I kind of like the look when the two top layers are folded down at the corner. What do you think?
This is another stamp I bought at our stamp club for 2 bucks. I so love it when people decide to get rid of their stamps!
I stamped the image on a cream colored piece of cardstock and sponged on various Distress Inks. After layering I added a tag (Spellbinders) and a brad. A really quick card!

I had a great time making this card and I actually made six of them in one evening. I stamped the branches (Stampscapes) on a piece of white cardstock. Then ran a second piece of white thru the Cuttlebug using the Snowflakes embossing folder. Using my circle Coluzzle I made a "window" in the embossed piece. This was attached over the first piece of stamped cardstock. I stamped the birds (Inkadinkadoo) twice with red chalk ink. The 2 birds were cut out and the foreground bird was cut from the other stamped image and adhered on top of the other birds with some foam tape to give some dimension. I colored the chests of the birds with H2Os and added some Stickles. The berries on the branches are colored with a red gel pen.
This has got to be one of my favorite Christmas stamps. I picked it up at our stamp club for 2 bucks! I stamped and embossed on to a piece of background paper I made some time ago and just didn't know what to do with it. The images are painted with with H2Os.

This is another card done with cream and gold. The house stamp is from Magenta and I love how it turned out with the gold embossing.
Hope everyone has a wonderful, creative day. And, thanks for stopping by.
I made this card for a dear friend of mine. The stamps are from Inkadkinkadoo. The Stickles don't show up that well, but they are there and LOTS of them.

I love the simplicity of this color combination. The trees from Stampin' Up are embossed with gold e/p. I've used my Coluzzle and Nestabilities and of course my Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder.
Thanks for dropping by!
Here's another card that is done in cream and gold. I love this little angel. Isn't she just the cutest? Sorry the scan isn't the best. There really is no pink on this card.
Isn't this little guy just so cute!!!! I colored him in with alcohol markers and added him to a pierced piece of cardstock. I so love my Tim Holtz ruler as it makes paper piercing SO easy. The Cuttlebug snowflake piece was highlighted with French Blue chalk ink. The punched snowflakes are covered with Stickles and I've added some teeny gems for some extra bling.
Thanks for stopping by.
This was stamped with Versafine black ink and clear embossed. The image is colored with alcohol markers and I added a bit of Distress ink for the background.
Stamp - Magenta
I don't have a Halloween card to show you today as they've been posted earlier. This one does have some pumpkins though! The image was stamped in black, clear embossed and colored with alcohol markers.

This is an ATC I made for one of my groups. The theme is reading. I applied various inks with a sponge and the flowers are done with a gel pen.

This is a portion of one of my favorite Christmas stamps. I colored it in with alcohol markers and used my Nestabilities and a flourish die cut from Spellbinders. Pretty simple!

This is an anniversary card I made for my daughter and her hubby. The image is colored with H2Os and really has a lovely shimmer to it in real life.

This technique is really kewl. We applied alcohol inks to an acrylic tile. The poinsettia is stamped with black Memories on to the tile once the alcohol inks are dry. (You are stamping on to the side that has the alcohol ink). As soon as you have stamped, and while the ink is still wet, you blot off the excess ink with a paper towel. Then gently rub off the rest of the ink with the paper towel. By removing the ink, you are left with a white image. Neat eh?

This is another workshop card. Alcohol inks are applied to a border sticker. The focal image is stamped over an alcohol ink background.

Nathalie from Magenta came to our stamp club and we played with some new stamps and alcohol inks. This is one of the cards I made.

It's been awhile since I posted. It's not that I haven't been stamping, really I have! LOL. It's time to start the Christmas cards and here is a cutle little snowman that I colored with alcohol markers.

It's beginning to look and feel like fall here in Quebec. I so love Fall. I think it's my favorite season and I decided to do a card for the season. I haven't worked with my pigment inks in ages and I really had a lot of fun making this "Magenta" card.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!
This challenge was to use plaid paper. My g/f gave me this stamp and I think it really works well with the paper.

I've used a portion of one of my favorite Magenta stamps for this ATC. I stamped on glossy cardstock with Stazon Jet Black ink and colored the image with Tombow markers.
