Going Plaid

This challenge was to use plaid paper. My g/f gave me this stamp and I think it really works well with the paper.

Vintage ATC

I did this ATC for a monthly Vintage Group I belong to. The background is stamped with Colorbox Fluid chalk pads.
The focal image (by Stampsmith), is trimmed down and stamped with black StazOn solvent ink on glossy cardstock and colored with Zig Photo markers. I've added some Stickles for a little "bling".

Balloon Fairy

When I came across this stamp at our one and only stamp store I knew I had to have it! I think she is just so darn cute!
I stamped her with a permanent black ink on watercolor paper and colored her in with my Tombow markers. My scanner was up to it's old tricks again. Honestly, there is no dark border and the image IS centred. I'm going to have to start taking pics with my camera instead. LOL

Fall Bandana

Did I tell you that this technique is very addictive? LOL.
I've used different Distress inks for this one and my favorite Signo white gel pen.
This tech. has also given me the opportunity to use some stamps that have seldom seen ink.
Have a super day and thanks for stopping by!

Bandana Paisley

This is such a fun technique which is from a recent Technique Junkie newsletter.
I've used Fired Brick, Tattered Rose and Old Mahogany Distress inks on smooth white cardstock.
The Paisley set is by Impression Obsession. Sentiment is by Hero Arts.

Girl with Flowers

I so love this line of stamps!
There's another one on my blog a little further down. Funny how I used the same colors for this one, too!!!! I've stamped the image with Adirondack Pitch Black dye ink and colored in the image with alcohol markers and added some Prima flowers. I added some Black Diamond Stickles to the flowers. (Needed some bling). LOL.
A really cheery card, don't ya think? Well, except for the pink shadow which is courtesy of my scanner and really not there in real life!
Stamp is from American Art Stamp (Karen Stolper)

A New Look

Hi everyone,

Well, I think I'm doing pretty good at keeping my blog up to date. So, I decided to give it a new look and I've also added a Feedblitz button, to the right, for those of you who would like to subscribe to my blog via e-mail.

I really do appreciate all the wonderful comments everyone leaves. It is the best form of inspiration I could ever hope for.

From the bottom of my heart, thanks to everyone!

Stampin' hugs,
Dianne

Happy Birthday!

This card is such so cheery looking! I don't normally do "cute" but lately I have come across some really awesome, cute stamps and couldn't resist buying this set by Inkadinkadoo. I just had to make this for my dear friend Francine. Inside it says, "Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live". LOL.

Sending You Sunshine

Here's another Michelle Zindorf card I made. I definitely cannot take credit for this one. I received a card recently in a swap I participated in and I just fell in love with it and had to CASE it! I did change the stamps and the sentiment, but the rest is all "Barb".
Thank you, Barb P. for inspiring me!

Watercoloring with H2Os.

I apologize for the crappy scan on this one. My scanner doesn't scan white very well, hence the pink edge.
I used one of my all time favorite stamps for this card. (Hero Arts).
I stamped on to glossy cardstock with Stazon ink and colored with Twinkling H2Os.

Chalk Inks.

Lately I've been using my fluid chalk inks a lot. I love the richness of the colors.
For this ATC, I used the Hero Arts distressed block stamp. Chalk inks were applied and then I stamped on to matte cardstock.
The images are overstamped with Ranger Archival black ink.
Tree Stamp is by I Brake For Stamps

Asian Cards

I love making Asian theme cards. I had a small piece of my favorite background paper left and used it for the first card. While doing some reorganizing I came across some card/envie sets and the deckle edged cream and black worked well for the second card.

For both, the images were stamped on watercolor paper with Versafine Ink and clear embossed. I used Twinkling H2Os to color the images.

Acrylic Ink Envies

I needed some 5 X 5 envelopes for some cards I made and decided to make my own.

I began by making the backgrounds using acrylic inks and photocopy paper. I overstamped with a few stamps and added some more acrylic inks with a fan brush.

The envelope template I used is from Coluzzle.

Acrylic Ink Backgrounds

The background on this card was done with washes of acrylic inks on watercolor paper. Acrylic inks can be purchased, but seeing as I had some tube paints I made my own inks by combining 5 in. of tube acrylics with 1/2 oz. of distilled water. The ink was applied using a 2 in. brush. A cheap, dollar store brush, can be used.
Once the ink was dry, I overstamped the Penny Black stamp with Memories black dye ink and added some black Peel-Offs.

Thomas Kinkade

I finally got around to trying the Thomas Kinkade stamps by Cornish Heritage Farms.

The images are stamped with black StazOn on glossy cardstock and then colored with Tombow markers.

A huge thank you goes out to my dear friend Francine who taught me how to do these wonderful pieces.

I really love the look of these and hopefully I'll soon be able to do some more. I can see that I'm going to be buying some of these stamps.

My first Zentangle

Here's something way different for me! I always liked to doodle and my friend Sue, from one of my favorite online groups, does some amazing Zentangles. She encouraged me to give it a try and this is my first attempt. It's ATC size.
Kind of neat looking, eh? Be forwarned, these are very addicting!!!! LOL.

Another Asian Card

This card was done with stamps from the same sheet as yesterday's.
I love this set of stamps as they are a good size for ATCs.

Oriental Splendor

I so love this background paper and I'm sorry I only bought 1 sheet. I held on to it for ages and then finally asked myself why????
It goes perfect with this stamp which is by I Brake For Stamps.

A Summer Butterfly

I so love Michelle Zindorf's creations and I am bound and determined to get one half as good as hers. LOL. This is my first attempt and I'm fairly pleased with it.
The stamp is by Hero Arts. (An oldie but a goodie). LOL

I'm Back

I can't believe that I haven't posted anything to my blog since the end of June. I just don't know where the time goes. It's not that I haven't been stamping. There's just not enough time to keep up a blog and do artwork. But, I'm going to try to post more regularly.

I love this set of stamps from My Favorite Things. The image is colored with alcohol markers and pencil crayons and I've used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder.

Right now, this card is gathering dust on my sister's desk and she has kindly reminded me that I owe her another card. LOL.
