IT'S ALL IN THE GLUE!

The background on this card was created by applying Elmer's white glue to a piece of white matte c/s using a cottonball. (Leave some areas free of glue). When the glue is dry, apply 3 different colors of pigment inks using the DTP technique. With a tissue, wipe off the excess pigment ink. The image (Chapel Road Artstamps) was overstamped using Timber Brown StazOn ink.

For this card, I have applied the white glue with a cottonball. Once dry, using the DTP technique, apply 3 different metallic pigment inks.

The stamp (Crafty Individuals) is overstamped using StazOn Timber Brown.

This is the third, and last one I did. This stamp is also from Chapel Road Artstamps.

All Stitched Up

I wiped the dust off my sewing machine to create this card. I now know why the sewing machine is kept within reach. LOL. I will have to remember to use it more often.

The image is one of my favorites from Chapel Road Artstamps. I have stamped her with Ancient Page Coal Black ink onto a piece of polished stone done with Adirondack Cranberry alcohol ink and the blending solution. The stitched panel is a piece of cream cardstock run thru the Wizard using a Fiskars texture plate called Filagree. The peel off stickers are from Magenta.

The Love of Black & White

I guess you could call this monochromatic with a slight "twist" to it.

I masked the edges of white matte cardstock using low tack masking tape. To create the "scenic" effect I have sponged and stamped with Soot Black Distress ink several shadow stamps and then over stamped with a Bazzil purple ink.


This one is done pretty much the same way as the one above. The background is applied using a Colorbox Stylus tool. The image by Crafty Individuals is overstamped, as is the dot border stamp (Hero Arts). I used a Plum Adirondack pad for the border stamp.





The images used on this card are from Hero Arts and Time to Stamp.






This last one is basically the same, except the image (Crafty Individuals) was inked with a combination of Adirondack Plum ink and Soot Black Distress ink.

I love the Crafty Individuals stamps! There are so many awesome designs to choose from. And, they are available UM.

Bookmarks

I so like working with a small format. I guess that's why I love to do ATCs. LOL.

I am now playing with making small bookmarks. So far the ones I have done are the size of ATCs. These are top-folded cards with magnets inside. (The card folds over a book or magazine page and is held in place by the magnets).

So far, I have only made 3. (The idea came to me about a half hour before I had to start dinner). Why does life get in the way of creativity????

I Love Valentine's Day

I really like this stamp. Unfortunately, I don't own it though. I was with a group of friends and managed to stamp a few images.


I really need to learn how to use my digital camera for some of the cards as the scanner takes away all the shimmer from metallic cardstock which I have used here. (It's not gray paper, but a brushed silver metallic paper, from the dollar store!).

Finally a use for this sentiment! I so love it, but not good for too much other than a card for someone you are in love with. LOL.

This is a pretty simple card, but I kind of like the simplistic design.

It's almost February!

I don't know where the time goes. Seems like we were all celebrating Christmas and New Years. Soon it will be time to celebrate another wonderful occasion, Valentine's Day.

I having been dying to try the Serendipidity technique and had a whole whack of papers and stamps perfect for Valentine's. So, I decided to try this for an ATC swap that I have joined.

I am really pleased with results and will definitely do this again! It was a lot of fun.

Welcome to my blog

This is my second attempt at starting up a blog.

Somehow, I managed to lose the URL for my blog and was unable to update. Hopefully, I will be a little more disciplined to keep this up to date this time around.

I will get some of my cards uploaded to my blog as soon as I figure out how to do this.
